NIKE - Dyeing of textile using supercritical CO2
One of SEPAREX's joint ventures, DyeCoo, has implemented the dyeing of textile using supercritical CO2, with several pilot plants having been built in Asia. Nike is a major player in the field of sports wear and partner of our group, employing this water less dyeing process in its production chain. Nike's first use of this CO2 technology developed by DyeCoo was during the Olympic games of London 2012. Kenyan marathon runner Abel Kirui ran wearing Nike gear dyed by this technique.

Highlights are put on the technology today, because a new tennis polo, the second garment produced with this innovative and sustainable technology is commercialized by Nike.

"It's a manufacturing revolution" says Marc Parker, president and CEO of NIKE.

This dyeing technology allows the international sports equipment manufacturer to make savings in three ways: It reduces the energy used, no water is used in the operation (hence no need for expensive waste water treatment), and no added chemicals are needed in this process.

Separex and whole group take pride in their share of participating in this important sustainable manufacturing milestone.

Nike's ColorDry tennis polo is made with 96% recycled polyester

Anuga Food Tech 2015 in Cologne

New generation hydrate reactor
SEPAREX develops newest generation hydrate apparatus for the thermodynamic study or hydrate behavior. Hydrate apparatus capabilities include the measurement of hydrate formation conditions for fluid systems containing natural gas, CO2 , H2S, gas condensate, or oil in the presence of water or brine. The apparatus also supports evaluation and screening of hydrate inhibitors, the study of the effectiveness of various hydrate inhibitors, for instance methanol, glycol, and electrolyte solution, and the determination of the maximum concentration of water vapor allowable, while avoiding hydrate formation, at a pre-specified operating temperature and pressure condition.

Technical Characteristis:

- High pressure visualization reactor with /without volume variation
- Optional high precise displacement piston volume variation
- Sapphire windows: 1 to 3
- Voume: 15, 50, 100, 500ml
- Pressure: 350bar, 700bar, 1000bar

SEPAREX new website is online - www.separex.fr
SEPAREX new web site is online. The content was structured so as to accurately present our activity which is now focused on three main areas : pharmaceutical technology, process development for various SCF processes and high-pressure equipment design and construction.
We have tried to design it as an interactive website, with several brochures and articles to download, This site will be improved so as to meet our customer's needs. Don't forget to let us know your comments regarding this new web site!
